Alyssa is a third-year creative writing and publishing major, with minors in theatre and media management. Formerly a prose editor, she is so excited to continue her New Moon journey as Executive Editor! When she's not on some sort of adventure with her phone on 15%, you can find her trying a recipe in the kitchen, or curled up reading. Stay curious!

Anupama Choudhury
Anupama (she/her) is a senior, majoring in English and Creative writing (publishing) and Translation. Her favorite literary genres include narrative and lyrical poetry and essays. When she isn't reading or writing, she spends her time making tea and soup, and finding new dogs to pet and showing up for literary events.

Ollie Naber
Ollie Naber (she/her) is a third-year English and creative writing (publishing) major with a minor in media management and certificates in event management and nonprofit leadership & philanthropy. She usually tells people she's from Iowa City, which is where her alter ego, Stitches, tears it up on the roller derby track and writes all about it.

Jade Gongora is a third-year, majoring in art and taking the journey as a print making BFA student. When they aren't in the studio you will likely find them involving art and creative activities into her projects. They are excited for their first year on the New Moon team and can't wait to see what comes!

Tatiana is a fourth year student, studying English and Creative Writing on the Publishing track. She loves aimlessly scrolling on Pinterest and can often be found making some kind of art.

Jordan Vander Werf
Jordan Vander Werf is a third-year English and Creative Writing major on the publishing track from Monroe, Iowa. When she’s not in class, you can find her drinking a coffee at Prairie Lights or walking along the Iowa River trying to overcome her fear of Canadian Geese.
Prose Editors
Riley Shell
Riley Shell is an English and creative writing student at the University of Iowa. Hailing from Colorado Springs, Colorado, she misses the mountains but is happy to be working on her writing alongside Iowa City’s phenomenal writing community. She has previously worked as a nonfiction editor for Ink Lit magazine, as well as co-founded an online literary magazine, The Literary Palette. She spends her summers working at the Colorado Renaissance Festival for the sparks of creativity.
Caitlin Heidgerken
Caitlin is a third-year majoring in English and creative writing (publishing track) and ancient civilization. She adores folklore, tea, and going on walks through the rain. This is her second year on the New Moon staff.
Oscar Doddy
Oscar is a study abroad student from Yorkshire, England studying English and Creative Writing at Lancaster University. In his spare time he likes hiking, playing the guitar and piano, and reading.

Jacob Calvin
Jacob Calvin is a junior majoring in English and English Education and serves as a Poetry Editor for New Moon. He enjoys reading novels and screenplays and is always looking for a new movie recommendations.
Leo Nosbisch
Leo is an English and Creative Writing and Screenwriting major at the University of Iowa. When they're not writing, they love baking, playing the clarinet, and learning foreign languages.
